Remember to honor a loved one by purchasing flowers for the chancel on Sunday. There is a sign-up sheet in the outer office on the wall. Please indicate if it is in memory/honor/celebration of a person or persons and who the donor is. The cost of the flowers is $25. When making out your check, please indicate “Sunday Flowers” on the memo line.
There is a BIG SALE at the Corner Closet. Many clothes are selling for $1.00!!! They are looking to free the racks of winter clothes to prepare for Spring clothes in March. The Corner Closet is open Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm and Friday from 1-4 pm. Come check thing out!!

The Noank Baptist Church Day Nursery School has been selected for the 2016 Best of Groton Award in the Preschool category. The Groton Award Program is an annual award program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Groton area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Groton Award Program and data provided by third parties.
The Groton Senior Center has made their kitchen available four evenings a month to offer the free meals program. Beginning June 6, the Groton Senior Center will serve meals on the first, second, fourth and fifth Monday of each month from 6-7 pm. Meals will be served on the third Monday at Faith Lutheran Church.
Come to the quiet! Set aside all your “doing” and make time for “being”. Join in the sacred circle of candlelight, chant, silence and prayer. Center yourself in the sacred. We will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 7-7:30 pm in the chapel. All are welcome!

Sandy Mansfield is asking for volunteers to knit or crochet hats. Thisis the 6th year that we have distributed hats to the Cancer Society, hospitalsand various shelters. We need hats for both adults and children. If you can help or need additional information, please contact Sandy @ 860-445-6208. She will supply you with the yarn and a pattern. Also, we always need donations of yarn (no wool please).

NBC member Cal Robertson is a resident at St. Francis House in New London. We have been asked to help provide a meal each Wednesday evening for Cal and five other people. Cal is a diabetic and the meals must be made with this in mind. If you can help, please sign your name on a date that is convenient for you (a sign-up sheet is available on the table in the Narthex.) Barbara Williams and Sandy Mansfield are starting a walking group that will meet at the church each Monday at 10:00 am in the Parlor. We will walk for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. All are welcome to join!
